If you’ve got an hour to spare (with a runtime of 1:07), buckle up for a cheesy yet entertaining ride. This film promises thrills, spills, and a cameo by iRacing’s Evan Posoco and Jeff Maconi. And kudos for the tip about it being available for free on Tubi! 

Quick Synopsis:

 Sim racer Luke Wallace is caught in a streak of bad luck. He’s fallen behind on his mortgage, his girlfriend dumped him for being too nice, and his bartender buddy Earl is hell-bent on turning him into an “ass man” (given Earl’s unique affinity for feet).

Desperate to save his home, Wallace throws himself into qualifying for the World 500 Late Model race, where the grand prize is a hefty $20,000. However, his hesitance stems from his reliance on “fixed setups” and the looming threat of his rival Shooter Jones, who’s notorious for employing underhanded tactics like the infamous “Arca Brake” to wipe out the competition.

The only reason there wouldn’t be an entry in that particular table is if you were not a member of the team at the time the team was registered for the 12:00 UTC session. If a team invitation or application is accepted after the team is registered, they do not get added to the list of people who can join the team in the session.

The 2024 iRacing Daytona 24 event wrapped up this weekend with some very impressive numbers

Thursday open –

  • Justin- Winter Nis Winter Series update the fixed series i placed p6 and P26 then the open series i had a p9 and p4, just a steady week. The open race I placed 9th in I set the fastest lap time of the race, never done that before in any official race and there were some studs in that race too. My Open series points battle im losing by 58 points and fixed series im leading by 20 points. Side note without drop weeks in both series I would be leading more than 80 points in each series. I Hate drop weeks. Lol. Another side note: I had a family emergency and I’m stuck in Chicago starting tomorrow so I don’t know if I will be able to make all my starts. I’m not going to use it as an excuse though. I will keep grinding. Sorry for the paragraph mike

John P16. Car was terrible in turns 1 and 2 initially. Made some pit adjustments and stayed with the leaders the last 30 laps. Problem is I was a lap down. Was the lucky dog but did not get the caution

League / Hosted Races

Winter Series League – 

  • Brad – p 18
  • Mike- p started dead last finish P 16. Was planning on a one stop strategy, but a caution came out. We could make it from there on fuel. Next run ran it until the tire gave out had to put under green but then a caution came out, was able to take the wave around and get a lap back and threw attrition and what not worked my way up
  • David – p5 .  Good long run speed but spent most of the race 1 lap down after first long run.  Was p6 in lucky dog spot, late caution comes out puts me on lead lap, but cost me the lucky dog prize, finished p5, best finish for the year.

I’m not sure where we will land. I have something stubbed into the sim but currently don’t have anything but wheel slip/ABS to drive these with. Ideally I would have time to add in traction to the mix, and possibly even separate things out per pedal, but I also have other projects coming up fast that will take me away from this in a few weeks. I would not buy anything based on what I could potentially do in the future.

Thursday open –

  • Justin- NiS Winter Series Update North Wilksboro, Open series i did a total of 2 races a P6 and a P2 really solid races, track position over tires was the key i think. In the Fixed series it was kind of a roller coaster. My first race I had a P26 made it to 20 to go with a 0x and got junked. The second Fixed race I did was a little better result, took the lead 30 to go and never looked back P1. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. At the end of the week I’m leading the Open series by 30 points and leading the Fixed series also by 3 points. Dover next week. I’m trying to get team Tifosi another NiS Championship. Wish me luck

  • Supercars at Michigan posted Chris McGuire. winner, winner, chicken dinner.
  • 87 at Talladega wrecked out
  • GEN five at Daytona. Came from the back to finish P5 great race another couple laps I might’ve won.
  • IndyCar at Indy nice respectable finish P10. The sticker on the outside wall that shows the Indy logo coming out of turn four is missing.
  • Supercar at Michigan with John Curley. We were mixing it up in a huge pack of four and five wide green flags and everything but both get wrecked out at the end.
  • 87 at Talladega got wrecked out at the end
  • GEN 5 cup car at Daytona was running P2 with two to go when a lab car purposely wrecked the entire field. 
  • srF@Oran Park started P six finished P3 I’ll take it
  • Pick up cup at Phoenix. P11

WRENN

  • Roar-started p17, finished p13 in class and p23 overall. Got some nose and rear damage on lap two from a stack up in bus stop. That hurt my speed on the oval. Drove up to p10 before first pit stop. Missed my pit stall so gave up a bunch of time. Short pitted second stop and double stinted tires because I did not need a full tank of gas try to jump some spots. Ended up looping it in the horse show. After that kept it clean till the finish.

  • Brad – p 19-Felt like I had good speed but ended up with some damage and blew the green flag pit stop by missing the commitment cone. Sat for 1:10 penalty and ended up three laps down.

Thursday open –

  • Justin, Winter NIS recap for Rockingham, it probably took me until Sunday to learn how to really drive the track. In the Fixed series P16,19,P9 and the Open series I got a P11 and P6. I kinda dropped the ball on my point battle in Fixed and Open. I was leading in both of them. Now I’m 2nd in Fixed and 3rd in open. Hopefully I can turn it around at Michigan this week. 

Official Series

Ellis– 

  • Carburetor cub at Daytona, wrecked on lap one. 
  • Pick up cup at Phoenix started P8 finished winner, winner, chicken dinner!
  • Second, try finished P3
  • Chris McGuire supercars at Michigan. We were running into the green flag stops in the pack. I was going to do one more lap a bunch of them around me were pitting I got boxed in and somehow wrecked a bunch of them and they booted me out of the race off the server. Yikes~! I didnt mean for that to happen
  • Skip Barber at Monza qualified dead last 16th got wrecked hard and lap one had to get repairs finished 21st
  • FIAF4 at Sebring. Started ninth finished P11
  • DraftMaster 87 at Daytona. Qualified 16th. got wrecked out hard on lap. One was dead last stayed in the race and somehow got back to 13.
  • Chris McGuire, Deya prototypes at Michigan at night with no lights wrecked out
  • Old IndyCar at Monza combined no chicane p11. 

SPIKER

WRENN

  • Falken Sports Car Challenge-p5 after starting p7 at Daytona. Crazy start to race that pushed me back to p15.  Head down and  spent time picking them off one at a time. Lots of guys over driving. Running a few of these as prep for the Roar.

B Open

    John P12 at Iowa. Having a good run when a guy took me out on purpose and as much as admitted it.  Had a top  5 car easily. Really like the track and had a great setup. Hate to have it ruined by a guy who was making everyone mad. But, thats the way is goes sometimes. 

IMSA

Brad – GT3 Class p10 after starting p14. Have taken a beating in SR the last few weeks so this was a great race to get some back. Lemans is so easy to get slow down penalties. Probably gave up a p7 because of them.


League / Hosted Races

Winter Series League – 

  • David – P12  Mid pack car.  Interesting fuel strategy some went 1, some went two.  I went two and beat half of the 1 stoppers.  Had another early race incident with a different driver who thinks its a good idea to race like Ryan Newman.  This time you cross over a car that i clearly gonna to out run you in the long run and then door them on corner exit.  3rd party reviewed by the way not just team mates.  Yes you raced too hard for your own good.  Learn dude.
  • John – P27. Started dead last. Never found a good line but was keeping up. One of the team mates said look out for a certain guy. Sure enough, on lap 33 he rear ended me and gave me some irreparable damage. That ruined my night. Just puttered around the track the last 120 laps. Probably would not have had a good finish anyway because i could not find a good way around Nashville in the cup car.
  • Brad – p19-could not keep the tires under me at the end of the runs. Found better wear during 2nd and 3rd run but lost too much track position during first run. Racing would be so much better if we did not have to shift.
  • Justin P28, a day ago I had an issue with my pc. I had to reinstall windows and re-downloaded JRT and forgot to program the fuel calculations. My fault 
  • Mike- p23- completely missed Pitt Road entrance and overcooked it in there on the first green flag. Stop had to go back around and never really could recover.

  • Ran 3 Open Races P1,P8,P2 and at the end of the week still leading the series by only 8 points. Fixed i only ran two races, a P5 and a P8 i did decent still leading point on the fixed by 35 points at the end of the watksglen week. Gained 343 IR and now I’m a couple tenths below my A license. Productive week!

  • DraftMaster GEN five at Daytona got ran over from behind trying to save tires. P 16.
  • Chris McGuire hosted old IndyCar at Charlotte – got wrecked out running third
  • Supercars at Michigan. P10
  • Indy pro 2000 @Gateway qualified nine out of 17.  P11

  • Weekly Race Challenge – FF1600-Oulton Park Started p15 and avoided early spins. Was spun by over aggressive drivers that spin early and then drive like mad to get spots back. Finished p14 but continue to lose SR from getting collected in other people’s messes


A Open

  • Brad W – p4. Second split, started p3. Had the fastest car but just like real life it was hard to pass. Late in first run got the the lead only to get punted into T3. Was able to fix damage and drove from 14th back to 4th on 35 lap run to the checkers.

  • David – P wrecked out lap 1
  • Brad – p14 and this was what I deserved. I was way to lose on short run and that caused me to lose multiple spots on the last restart. I had fun, just wanted a few more spots at the end.
  • Justin P16 its was a good race same as brad got what i deserved. She was slick 
  • Mike- p26- hit the wall hard 3 minutes 20 seconds damage – limped it home

NASCAR iRacing Series

Justin – p1, Started 11th just kept the car on the track slow and steady worked my way to p3 when i picked lap 22 to pit cause of traffic once green flag stops cycled through i was p1 held the lead the rest of the way. First Ever Road Win!

Official Series

Ellis– 

  • Rally car at Mount Washington next level racing contest in time trials, I placed 40th yet to be in the top 20 to make the super session
  • Draft Meister trucks at Daytona- Guy pushing on the outside, wrecked the entire field on lap five I still survived to finish P8.  
  • Fia f4 outlon pk. – finished 8
  • Chris McGuire hosted INDYCAR at Charlotte started 42nd out of 49 cars. Dnf
  • Super car at Michigan was leading on the white, but was sitting duck, and the guy behind me won the race
  • 87 at Talladega- p10. 
  • Daytona prototypes Riley at Talladega total pack racing, started dead lash got up to the front quick, going around the outside of everybody and won the race!!!
  • Draft master fixed car of tomorrow at Daytona- top split qualified fifth ended up, leading some laps near the end, but was a sitting dock on the final and the guy in second shut me up and passed me by just a hair at the line P2
  • DraftMaster, somebody spun out on the start and I had a pass-through penalty and ended up P 13
  • Get to the front lead, the most laps leading on the white on the backstretch the guy in second goes below the yellow and then tries to shove me up and I am hold my line and we both wrecked. P 16.

WRENN

  • Weekly Race Challenge-GT4 Laguna Seca- started p11 self spun on lap 2 drove back to p14. Had good pace and just pressed too hard at the start.
  • Weekly Race Challenge-GT4 Laguna Seca-started p16 finished p13. Sunday afternoon’s top split was in European server with too many fast guys. Finished were I deserved.
  • Weekly Race Challenge-RayFF1600 Oultan Park-started p9 was run over at turn 3 from a guy 5 cars back. Broken rear suspension so did a fast repair and made it back to p15.

A Open

  • John P5, P5, P6, P8, P6, and P3. Raced  a lot during bout with covid. Decent finishes, but could never get to the top.
  • Brad W – Saturday Evening Top Split – start p8 finished p9. One caution early and 66 lap run to the finish. Fell back at the beginning of the run but gained spots back over the course of the run. Glad to put an entire race together.

Draft Master

    John P16 and P12. Wrecked each race. The usual draftmaster

B Open

  • Brad W -Top split Sunday afternoon. Started p17 finished p16. No cautions, the car was good and a blast to drive. Finished where I deserved.   

         John P5. Long runs and tires held up great. Just didn’t have what i needed to get to the podium.

C Open
John Kerley–  Started P22 finished P7. Survived the big one at the end.

League / Hosted Races

    Winter Series League – 

  • David – P 12, details on show
  • Brad – p9-started p15 and managed tires throughout the race. Really had no confidence going into race so, very happy with the top 10.
  • Justin P16, a very good clean race, really didn’t figure out how to drive the track until the second half of the race.
  • Mike- p20 got what I deserved no cautions and ran my tires off
  • Greg wrecked out

NASCAR iRacing Series

  • Mike- P 14 – I sucked out there I ran about 18th the 20th most of the day and brought it home 14th
  • Justin – P5

Sunday Fixed- 

  • Mackenzie – P1 – Started 13th, got some early damage and rode mid pack for most of the race fixing it during every caution, ran up to the top 3 within the last 40 laps of the race. Started P2 coming the to GWC, dove down to the inside and carried just enough speed to win before getting taken out at the line. Only won by .021 

Wednesday Open: 

  • John – p3. Started in back. Saved tires the first ⅔ of the race and ran like crazy the last ⅓ and picked cars off one by one. One of those rare races for me because everything I did worked. Special thanks to Nick Ottinger for the help on how to navigate this track.
  • Mackenzie – P2 – My first ever race with this car, struggled to figure out how to drive it at first but once I did I was very fast on the long runs, restarted 10th with 15 to go and just kept running them down. Another lap or 2 and I would have made the pass for the lead

Official Series

Ellis– 

  • Fia f4 outlon park. Started 15th got the ninth by the end of first lap. Fought my way. Clear up to finish fifth fighting hard for fourth.
  • Then started eighth and got up the third by lap one and was able to hold it the whole race P3

A Open

  • John P3 today. Started on the pole and decided to go easy on tires at the start. Let 10 guys pass me used up their cars and fell back. Lap times never fell off and I was gaining on the leaders, but not enough time to catch them.

B Open

     John P23. Started P2 and banged the turn 2 wall three times. I was awful.

       John P5. Ran again and kept it off the wall this time. Started P13 but ran against some aliens I   could not get to.

C Open

John. Ran 4 of these this week. I was either really good or really bad. Finishes were 21, 17, 24, and 3. I got crashed by maniacs and a blinker in the first three races.


League / Hosted Races

   Winter Series League – 

  • David – P slow, tried to go fast, went into wall instead
  • John – P. Missed race thanks to Covid
  • Brad – Ran RFK Holiday instead.
  • Justin P17 3x just wanted to stay on track
  • Mike- top split. Got wrecked by somebody from behind with four minutes optional damage got most of it fixed ran around the back until 44 to go. A guy was pushing crowding me down to the bottom. I came up just a little and turned off his nose, hard into the wall upside down 34 minutes damage Did not finish 

Hosted- Chris McGuire supercars at Michigan

  • Ellis- p2 pretty good race, but the leader got ahead of the pack by a few seconds I had no chance of getting them. I thought I was racing for the lead and actually beat everyone in the pack, but it was a P2.
  • John- P12
  • Brad- got cleaned out
  • Then 87 at Talladega started in the back was in the hunt with the white, but got wrecked. 
  • Then 87 at Charlotte I missed the start because the beta UI sucks. Went to the website and got right in.  John got killed.
  • Trucks at dirt Bristol started dead last. P10.

  • David – P7 steam VR shat the bed, decided to run open XR, had no overlays.  Had mediocre speed but stayed mistake free when a lot of others didn’t.
  • John – P16. Started 23rd and I am happy to pick up 7 spots. Some real aliens in here. Learned a lot watching the fast guys’ lines and picked up lap times based on that. ZeroX and that is a plus for me. 
  • Justin P14 i ran out of gas i suck
