LA Crashiseum

Nick Nebon posted a Youtube video of a win at the La Coliseum Clash where 50 of the 75 lap feature were under caution. Tyler Stooksbury was in a Clash race where EVERYONE in the session lost significant SR. He had a just single 2x in the feature and lost a lot of SR because its near impossible to run laps in the warmup sessions without getting hit.

WoO Week 9 Weedsport [Brian/Mike]

The iRacing World of Outlaws Sprint car championship was at Weedsport Speedway for the next to last race of the season with Alex Bergeron holding on to a narrow 4 point lead for the championship over Cameron Merriman and 19 points ahead of James Edens

Brayden Eyler was the fast qualifier, but hit the wall in his heat race allowing last week’s winner Evan Seay to take the win and pole in the feature. Cameron Merriman wins heat 2, meaning he’ll start on the outside of row one and a great spot to claim the points lead.

Alex Bergeron started third and finished third in his heat meaning he would be starting in the middle of the field on the short bullring, leaving a lot of work to be done to chase down Merriman.

Evan Seay takes the lead early, but his car goes away mid way thru the race when Merriman takes over the lead. Meanwhile Bergeron is marred in 12th place and unable to advance thru the field.

Merriman posted a 3 second lead over the field when a late caution bring the field back together with a hungry Hayden Cardwell ready to pounce from the second position. When the final green dropped, Merriman losses traction on a slick section of track allowing Cardwell to get alongside him with 2 to go.

The two drivers make contact and Cardwell takes the lead and stays there for his second win of the season. Merriman gets bumped back to finish P4, but that was enough for him to take the series point lead over ninth place Bergeron.

So heading to the final race of the season Cameron Merriman will be taking a 13 point lead to The Dirt Track at Charlotte, and try to hold off Alex Bergeron who would is seeking his 4th consecutive Championship.

  • Winter League
    1. Ellis – pwrecked out – ran as high as p2
    2. Hall –  p p16, late caution right on pit window.  Thought I could save fuel, but after about 10 laps decided it wasn’t gonna make it and moved up to outside to at least fight for position in the pack I was in.   Something happened in front and I had no where to go.   Limped around and engine out lasted another guy, now surprisingly tied for 7th in points.
    1. Man Cave After Dark Thursday Night Truck League
    • Mike – Nashville- Wrecked out. It was hard to pass I finally got underneath a guy held my line fine but he doored into me and then I was slow after that took my quick fix on the green flag stop I also got doorred on pit Road before the stop I was side-by-side with a guy and he just drove into my side   was looking good after that up to P9. Then the same guy that caused me damage previously took out another guy up ahead of me and I plowed in. With no more resets I was done 
  • OBRL ARCA Series 
    1. Brian Nashville P15 started p8 was able to get up to top 3 and was turned on a restart
