Oswego History

hey Mike! Long time listener of the podcast. I noticed you guys have mentioned Oswego speedway a few times but never talk to much about it, so I figured I would give a little history about it. It’s pronounced Osweeeeego. It’s a pretty unique track and very fast. It has an inside wall all the way around the track, which makes it hard to see ahead to the next corner. Both the inside and outside wall are made steel plate, which gives the track the nickname the steel palace. Each fall they hold a 200 lap supermodified race called the Budweiser international classic, which is the second longest running race behind the Indy 500. This year will be the 68th consecutive running of the race. The link down below is a video that gives a brief history of Oswego and supermodifed and there link to Indy cars. It’s an interesting video I think you and your teammates might enjoy it. I’ve heard rumors that iracing had scanned a supermodified, but have not heard any official from iracing. You guys talk a lot about splitting the oval license and think that if they were to do that this car would be a good car to fit the oval open wheel category as they run a similar to IndyCar type of suspension system with internal shocks. They are considered the fastest ashphalt oval car having 800hp and weighing 800lbs

This Week In iRacing

INDYCAR iRACING SERIES
With the return of INDYCAR, the INDYCAR iRacing Series (Open Setup) predominantly follows the real world INDYCAR schedule. It will have full length races on road courses while utilizing amended race distances for the ovals during the 16-week racing season. The series returns for it’s sixth week of competition, this week back on the oval at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a 125-lap event, utilizing the Dallara IR-18. This is separate from the iRacing Special Event scheduled for next week, the iRacing Indy 500, which will be a full 200-lap event in both open and fixed environments.

Schedule: Thursday, 01:00 GMT; Friday, 20:00 GMT, Saturday, 18:00 GMT; Sunday, 02:00 GMT

Wednesday Open – Charlotte 

• Mike- Pdnf. Had a pretty up-and-down day. I kept getting loose and spinning out down into the grass and got spun at least once but with 30 to go I pitted under green and shoved it into the barrels and ended my race.
• David – P14 I will find every way possible to get screwed out of a good result.  This time shoved into the pits during green flag stop causing me to speed
• Justin – P rage quit
• Greg – P wrecked out
• Chris W – P 16. The team is fast. We were all Top 5 the first half of the race. I accidentally wrecked a teammate and it was downhill from there. Got some 4x bumps and hooked to give me a pass through. Finished P16 2 laps down.

Thursday Open – Charlotte 

• Kyle- P My fingers Hurt P7 Started P4 and  just kept it clean. A couple early cautions then it was a 250+ lap green flag run and it was fun. The setup was solid and the car was a rocket. Fell to 18th due to strategy. Led a total of 12 laps and had a winning car. Became a fuel mileage race and had to slow way off the pace to save enough fuel to make it to the end. Got 69 (NICE) laps on fuel and ran out coming out of 4 on the last lap to finish on the lead lap in P7. I will take that all day long on a full length race.

• Ellis – at Bathurst 10th the fourth by lap one and then I got wrecked out in lab three when the track got blocked up on a blind corner

A Open

• Brad W – P7 (Charlotte) Started p8 and ran in top ten all of the race. Was a ton of fun to be in the same split with teammates Justin and Tyler. We all ran way too hard the last run and guys that had saved tires ran us back down. Restarted p5 on GWC but got bottled up behind p3 on bottom and lost two positions. Will make my run at the Coke 600 on Friday night.

• Brad – P5 (Indy Road-GTD) Started P5 and that is where I finished. Struggled to run consistently in the last sector. Wanted to give a shout out to class winner and podcast listener Cody McILwain.

Friday Open – Darlington

• Mike -P 13 early on I had a bad run on a long run. I got doored a few times, ran the tires off with the lap down after green flags finally caught a caution and then got a wave around. Got another caution and worked my way up I’ll take a top 15 but I was running 30th.  
• Justin – P
• David – P11, Got turned early cause guy behind didn’t account for cars stacking up in front of us.  He did own up.  Then benefited from long green flag run with pitstop, moved from 31st to 16th when caution came out with 30 to go.  Survived the wreck fest that followed
• Chris Waldron-P4. Started dead last with computer issues. Stayed out on old tires to get track position. Late in the race several leaders sped on pit road. Missed a few wrecked to bring it home P4. 
• Brad – P13 Made some changes to the car after Wednesday night but went way too far and the car was very tight on longer runs. Very frustrating race as guys spent most of the night blocking runs. Was caught up in a late race spin but got back to p13. Glad that I had the p5 from Wednesday to fall back on.

Sunday Open- Darlington

• Mike- P 22. Ran the tires off in a long green flag run pitted from about dead last on a green flag cycle and the caution came out right after I lost two laps struggled for a long time eventually got a wave around and a lucky dog after a great lucky dog fight And from there just for cautions on short run so I could move forward, but really didn’t get them
• David – P13 top split, benefited from long run speed and other people not surviving
• Justin -P wrecked out

• Ellis– P17 got his highest fifth but ran the back half of the top 10. Up until around halfway, where one of the leaders was lapping me and tried to go around the outside and clicked me and I got mad and rage quit.

FIA F4

• Ellis – P14 At ledenon – qualified P5 out of 20. Got up to second and was chasing down the leader when the guy in third ran over the back of me and took me out p14

B Open

• John -P23  Awful. Just awful. I was in a high split I had no business in. Two guys rear ended me and spun me out. I had no chance.

Draft Master

• Kyle P1 After 6 attempts and several top 5’s I finally got my win. Started P9 and couldn’t make ground and was just stuck for 12 laps. Finally a wreck happens in front of me and I squeeze by. And just head for the lead. Held the lead and with one to go I knew I was not in a good spot. Off of turn 4 lap car up against the wall and P2 swings out. So I decided to squeeze him up high knowing he would have to lift for the lap car or run it into my door and he came down and lost control and I squeezed out a P1.

IMSA

• Hall – P 2 at SPA
• Brad – P7 in GTD Class (WetaherTech Raceway). I like this track but have never been able to put an entire race together at the track. I finished about where I thought I would. Car had decent pace but never enough to contend for a top 5. The race did not split so the iRating disparity was very large.
  • P6 in GTD Class (Indy Road) Started p7 and made a few mistakes on lap one. Got settled in and was turning great laps until the faster classes started coming through. Get very frustrated especially at this track with the lack of concern for slower class cars. Was pushed off track twice because drivers can’t hold their line. Felt like I had more speed and should have gotten a top 5 but there is always another one.

Friday Open – Kansas

• Mike -P6- got wrecked in the first caution I had nine minutes damage rolled around dead last on the lead lap forever as we got closer to the end I had 2 1/2 minutes damage left and with all the green white checkers I just kept working my way forward and somehow ended up P6
• Justin – P25 was in the mix near the end, but got stacked up on the final restart and wrecked
• David – P
• Chris Waldron-P 9. Did not race as aggressive as Wednesday. Finished with a 70 lap run and was one of few cars that topped up under caution. Had 1 lap of gas left. P9
• Kyle -P P10 started P10 just had a meh race. Couldn’t keep it off the wall throughout the race and bounced from the top to 15th. Last 23 lap run I raced my way up to 3rd and just couldn’t keep it up there. Solid P10 finish and another 0x race. That makes 3 in a row.
• Brad – P4 after starting p15. Race had its ups and downs but after early damage from getting involved in someone else’s mess I was able to play the fuel strategy, (topping off with one to go)over the final run to grab a top 5.

Sunday Open- Kansas

• Mike- P17– drove from the back to the front at least twice but on the last run, I just couldn’t do anything. I guess I ran my tires off or something, but faded basically
• Chris- P 9. Trying to find balance between saving tires and running fast. Stayed out with the team on a caution with 6 to go P3. Was spun saved it, brought it home p9. NEW iraiting high 3169. 
• David – P same shit different day, wrecked early
• Brian C – P4
• Chris – P 9
• Greg –P4 – Started P33 Not Enough time to get the win
• Tyler – P2 final restart team Tifosi was lined up 1,2,3. Faster car was coming. Tyler couldn’t quite hold him off. They touch each other down to the grass coming to the line. Tyler finished P2.  -shoved down to the grass. Should’ve pushed him into the wall to take the W. Odd how similar it was to Sunday’s race with Larson winning. 
• Kyle P P10 Started P19 and just marched to the front. Got collected early in a small wreck. Got damage fixed and fell to 25th and on the restart just drove through the field up to P3 but at the cost of my tires. I fell back to 15th and just decided to save after the next restart. And brought it home P10.

Sunday Fixed-Kansas

• Mike- P wrecked out. I hit the wall too hard and got into somebody and they came back hard into the wall too much damage to continue rage quit.

Wednesday Open – Darlington

• Mike- P16– had a pretty good ride except for one bonehead who kept wrecking everybody, and I kept getting knocked to the wall and sent to the back and lost my track position but yeah, what a loser. I called and told him you have a bad reputation because he’s a, but that’s the truth.
• David – P17– same shit different day, wrecked late
• Justin – P whatever, never fell back from the top 5 all race. Ran the leader down to his bumper on 3 different occasions and the yellow decided to come out every time. I was really confident I was the fastest car on the track after 30 laps. Got junked 2 different times in the final 3 laps. I couldn’t have done much more. I should have won. Try again next time i guess. Still need to work on things
• Tom – Pwrecked 
• Tyler – P10. Wrecked early and damaged the right front wheel. No caution so went a lap down. Nursed the car till a caution came out and got the lucky dog. Hung in and battled a tight car but managed to pull out a top 10. 
• Brad – P5 after starting p21. Made some big changes to the car after running A Open. Really tried to focus on hitting my marks and racing the track instead of others. Had two long runs that set up some short runs to the checkered. Was able to avoid the mess and grab a top 5.
• Kyle P P27
• Chris W – P 19. 10th with 15 to go and got slammed into lap after lap getting 12x in 3 laps. A wreck gave me a drive through penalty with 4 to go. P19…. Can we fix those bump x’s iRacing?

Thursday Open-Darlington 

• Mike- P 18 ran like crap. I kind of went the wrong way on the set up and was just garbage off. Turned to spun down to the inside about two or three times and this was struggling at one point even lost a laugh and got a lucky dog, but brought home about where I deserved p 18.
• Justin – P19 got wrecked in the beginning, got all the damage fixed, then got caught up in a wreck at the end. Luckily I was a high number car where I still gained ir.
• Tony – P6 not bad for just Putting the rig back together in its new home. Probably slapped the wall about 150 times had a good long run at the end

• Brad W – P17 (Darlington) Was very comfortable (I thought) heading into the race. Realized very quickly that all the practice I did by myself did not apply to race conditions. Really struggled keeping the tires under the car. Made some changes that were not good and the car was horrible. Had a late race restart and took tires but the top 8 did not. Big wreck coming off turn 2 ended the night.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Dover

• Mike -P had a good run going and on a restart bonehead in front of me spun his tires and hit the wall. I slowed down so I didn’t pass it on the left and the guy behind me push me past the start finish line causing me a drive-through black flag penalty took me forever to get the lucky dog, but I eventually did, and then about 30 to go got absolutely destroyed by some guy footing me to the wall
• David – P something bad happened, don’t remember
• Chris Waldron-P 16. Struggled all race fighting the car loose. Figured out how to drive it and was flying. Missed a big wreck that took out David Hall. Spun crossing start finish to end up 16th
• Kyle -P P-4 Started P6. Ran a solid race from start to finish. Went 52 laps on the first run and held a top 5 and then caution lap 115 and got to the lead and held it for 10 laps. Ended up slamming the outside wall and had wheel damage and the car was FFUUUUUUCCCKKKED. Was able to catch a few cautions and fix the damage and then we were back on the hunt for a top 5 and walked away with  P4
• Bobby- P3, led the most laps at 72, had the fastest lap of race, and I smacked the wall coming to white, but if I didn’t I would likely be wrecked
• John -Pwrecked out early 20. Got wiped out by a guy who came up on the back straight and gave me 8 minutes of damage on lap 3. That put me dead last, P36. Team mates told me in chat to stay in the race Great advice because it gained 16 spots. I was as fast as the leaders the rest of the way, but no way to catch up that far. Down. I could have easily been a top 5 car if not for the miscreant that crashed me. The guy who did it is a known wrecker and took out a lot of cars throughout the course of the race. Gotta look out for those guys.

Saturday Fixed- Dover

• Mike- P 13 was running pretty good until I got wrecked a few times. I had over three minutes of damage. I got it fixed got up to about this and then some guy doored me to the wall and I finished P 13
• Justin – P wrecked out and then got a passing under yellow and then rage quit
• Tom – P got wrecked out early got the repairs done and finished

Sunday Open- Dover

• Mike- P4- I had a speeding on pit Road but was able to recover ran the back half of the top 10 most of the day we started the final restart on third, but the leader got a good restart and I didn’t have anything for him I’ll take a nice top 10
• Chris- P22. got caught in an accident and forgot to pit that ended up losing a lap eventually got a wave around. After that…. You name it I hit it..
• David – P wrecked a couple times, the last one was a doubly lapped car coming back on the track trying to pit and wiping me and the leader out.  Had uncontrollable incidents every time.  I’m out of the division hunt unless 5 drivers have a large series of unfortunate events
• Justin -P headed for tires on a green run and ended up speeding on Pit Road and rage quit
• Brian C – P put it up front on a longer green run for tires, but it didn’t play out well P 11
• Greg –P4 Story in final thoughts
• Kyle P2  Started P7 and just kept in the top 10 for a ⅓ of the race and marched my way to the front leading 21 laps. Final restart with 18 to go I was the leader and held the lead for 4 laps and just could feel I was burning up the tires with 2nd place right on my bumper. SO I backed off and decided to run behind him hoping he would burn up his tires as we drove away from 3rd place. Couldn’t find the grip I needed to make a move on the leader so settled for a P2.

Wednesday Open – Kansas

• Mike- P drove up from 16th to the top 10 pretty quickly. Towards the end, we had a long green flag to the end and I was too short on fuel and basically peddled it that entire run to be able to make it. I literally ran out of fuel at the line. I fell back to finish P 14.
• David – P7, got 24 seconds of damage in a mid race wreck.   One of those guys everyone on the team calls out, scratch that, everyone on the server.  He was being over aggressive, I let him go, he turned himself 5 laps later and I can’t get around.  But the final caution was right on the edge of the fuel window, I saved well under caution and benefited from the long long run to go P 7
• Justin – P last, i think we made it 16 laps. Teammate Tom and I came up on a wreck and Tom hit the car into me, not Tom’s fault at all. Just unlucky 
• Brad – P26 – Too mad to want to explain….but I will. Put in the wall early, fight back from 34 to p3 only to get a passing under yellow with 5 to go because a wrecked car is supposed to get their spot back. iRacing needs to fix this!
• Kyle P P9 Started 18th and just did my best to avoid the 3 and 4 wide in the beginning of each restart. Kept it clean and was on a different strategy then most and was trying to make it with pitting as little as possible. Held the lead for 8 laps and just couldn’t hold off the fresher tire cars. Stayed in the top 10 and once the run went long the car came to life on the highline and I started gaining ground on the cars in front of me, but I just ran out of laps and wheeled it home a P9 and 0X. 
• Chris W – P 18. Car is mad fast. Got caught up in a wreck while P6. One restart was spun avoiding a wreck. Went a lap down pitting for repairs. Got the lucky dog and drove from 26th to 18th in 4 laps. I smell a first NiS win this week.

Thursday Open-Kansas 

• Mike- P was moving forward ripping the top and top split up until lap 36 where a guy almost spun ahead of us and we were all going around him except for one particular individual who ran out of talent and basically wrecked several of us I ended up with a blown engine. Dnf. 
• Justin – P20, had decent speed, I have things I need to get better on. You gotta be in the first couple rows on the last restart or you’re going to get wrecked.

IndyCar IRacing Series

• Ellis– PP4!!! IiS at Barber!!! Let’s go!!!! started like 15th I got to eighth on lap one and just kept working my way forward. What a great race, no mistakes really.
• Tom- P14– got hit from behind
• Greg- P6

FIA F4- ELLIS

• At road Atlanta qualified P4 out of 21. Had a good battle for second and third place, but I finally prevailed and pulled away, but then made a mistake and spun out and then later spun out again and fell back to finish P6.

A Open

• Brad W – P17 (Kansas) was running in the top 10 till getting caught up in a wreck. 8 minutes of repairs stayed in it for SR.

B Open

• Greg – P8 (Kansas) Was first race in the car and loved every moment in it.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Talladega

• Mike -P3– had a pretty clean race, got to the front, stayed there in the top five basically saving fuel once I got to third it was a triple bump draft and we were able to keep a gap on the second group. There was only six of us in the front group and coming to checker I went low and I didn’t really have any help so I finished P3
• Justin – P16, qualified 2 had damage lap 10  took the whole race to fix
• Chris Waldron-P 13. Green the last 42 laps with 41.5 laps of fuel. Ran out at restart zone and coasted to P13. I feel like Harry Gant.  
• Rochette – P15 typical dega got blacked flagged for too many Xs just before the 1 of 3 GWC. Couldnt serve the pass thru 
• Kyle -P4 Started P3 and bounced around the top 10 for the first 70 laps and even led 14 laps. Fuel Strategy just went to hell in a hand basket about and had to solo pit under green for fuel. Came back out P20 and was less then 2 seconds from going a lap down when a caution came out Thank you for saving me Tony. Then the cautions flew and I got tangled up in one again between the wall and another car giving me a meatball. Fixed the required and about 2 minutes of the optional and just hoped that more cautions would fall and they did. I ended up fighting my way up avoiding the big one and on the final GWC I restarted P7 and then with a hurt car I was able to draft my way and avoid a wreck at the tri Oval for a P4.
• Greg – P wrecked out in the fence and the wheels wouldn’t turn
• John -P3. Great run at Tally. Pitted under green with 20 to go. Was in P10. Came out of pits P8. Had a restart with 8 to go and I thought if I stayed in outside lane I could make some moves. That lane just stalled, so I went to the inside lane on the last lap coming out of turn 4. As soon as I did that the outside lane started to move. Figures. The guy in P1 spun before the line and I moved up to P3. If I had stayed in outside lane I would have gotten P2. But I’m thrilled with a podium finish any day.

Sunday Open- Talladega

• Mike- P28– got wrecked out with damage and never could catch a break after that horrible race
• Chris- P 6. 75 lap green flag run to end the race. Spread out with green flag stops. With one to go was 5 seconds from leader. Somehow they wrecked and finished 6th just .2 from the win.
• David – P
• Justin -P15, 0x until 20 laps to go and they went crazy couldn’t survive
• Tony – P12 made a sweet ass 360 spin recovery by 2 cars wrecking and hitting me on the white
• John – P20. Oddest plate race I’ve ever been in. Pole sitter slowed on the green to drop to the back. Why would you put in a good qual if you want to be in the back? For 35 laps we had a 10 car breakaway. The guy who was on pole was in the second pack and complained about it even though he intentionally dropped back there. This gives you an idea of the brainiacs we had in this one.  13 second lead on the second pack. One lap from the green flag stops when the 1st or 2nd place car went below the yellow line and crashed coming into the tri-oval. I missed it, but from there on out the race was awful. I think a lot of drivers were running the fixed setup. That caused a lot of separation and the slow cars were adept at blocking instead of letting fast cars go by. I got caught up in other peoples’ messes twice. Just bad racing by most of the field.

Sunday Fixed-Talladega

• Mike- P wrecked out. Got intentionally wrecked from behind, lost my cool jumped out of the car and looked at the replay and lost a lap. Then later I was just in the middle and some guy was pushing me into the guy in front of me and I turned him and I got mad and rage quit.

Wednesday Open – Dover

• Mike- P18– had a good race going and got involved in a wreck that was really not my doing on lap 80 with nine minute damage down on horsepower and everything was running pretty much dead last but with the attrition was able to finish P 18
• David – P !!!!
• Adam- winner winner chicken dinner
• Brad – P4 – Started p8 and drove in the top 10 all race. Worked my way into the top 5 during the long runs as the car had really good speed. Was able to run down the leader multiple times. Last long green flag run I ran way too hard and burned the tires off and fell back to p4. First GWC had me starting in p3 and with a great start was able to get under the leader coming to the line to take the white flag. Caution came out and that put me back to restart in p2. No traction on starting on the outside lane and was doored coming off turn 2 by the guy who led most the race but was throwing haymaker blocks and had turned a guy making a clean pass earlier in the race. Fell back to p5 on the last restart and was able to get by p4 and bring it home. Had the yellow waited just a few more seconds coming out, I would have had the win. So close……
• Kyle P PISSED OFF ran a flawless race Q7 ran top 3 for the first run of 37 laps and then kept it in the top 10 after the restart. Ran until a meatball for tires just as a caution comes out while leading on an 82 lap run. That forced every car from 11th on down to be stuck a lap down. Went into tire saving mode and fell back to 6th and just before I was wrecked I was making ground on the cars in front of me and pulling away from the cars behind me. I was set for a top 3 finish, even possibly a win. Ran another 40ish laps in P6 and then coming out of 4 P5 bounced off the outside wall over driving the exit and instead of hitting the brakes, he just stays in and came down into me and slammed me head on into the inside wall ruining my race. PSA when you wreck, slam on your brakes to avoid avoidable wrecks with other drivers.

Thursday Open-Dover 

• Mike- P8 was running between fifth to 15th. We got a longer run and I ran the tires off and was fading. Finally caught a caution during the caution. I got a meatball for the right front tire going flat. Later on Pitt Road I had to dodge you guys that was sideways and ended up speeding, but was able to quickly recover from that penalty. Then on a restart with 30 to go from night somebody wrecks I get hit and have a meatball. with five minutes of damage my race is pretty much over. With some late restarts, I was able to rally the P8.
• Tony – P10 had top 5 car all race. A bunch of cautions than over 100 laps green. For 1st time ever I blew a tire with 5 laps to go while in 6th :/

IndyCar IRacing Series

• Ellis– P I ghosted the Thursday night race for practice. I found Steve and Dale Junior on the Queen Mary boat out in the ocean.
  • Ran the race on Saturday night and wrecked myself out. I barely brushed the wall and it took the wing off and two corners later I plowed hard hard into the wall. Dnf.

A Open

• Brad W – P9 (Dover) Started p9 and really had a fast car. Was able to drive up to just outside top 5 and ran there for most of the race. Ended up with a late race restart with about 20 to go and got a bit tight fighting for p5 and lost 7 spots. Had a GWC and drove back up to p9.

IMSA

• Brad – P5 (Long Beach)-Super challenging track as everything happens so fast. Had great pace and ended up with nose damage from a back marker about stopping in the fountain complex. Was able to stay about 1 second ahead of 6th place almost the entire race. GTP unfortunately lacked all respect for GTD class as it was constantly dive bombing into corners or attempting passes in really bad areas.

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – Texas

• Mike -P13- and the back half of the top 10 most of the night fairly uneventful tried to drive to the front on the last 20 laps but ran my tires off in 10 and then faded
• Justin – P12, qualified P11. Just got in a wreck early and trying to manage damage and my IR loss
• David – P if there is a wrecking car its gonna land right in front of me
• Chris Waldron-P27 – having pc issues. Started in the back and it was hard to pass. Wrecked with 3 to go running P16.  
• Rochette – P15 started 5th. Lap 1 i scrapped the wall and a guy in my inside decided He wanted to hug me and wrecked. Another 30 laps later 2 cars decided they wanted to hug in front of me and with nowhere to go and got caught up in the embrace. after getting all my damage fixed before the green we ran 104 green til the end. That was nice after month and half of trash racing 
• Kyle -P4 started P7 Marched to the top 5 after about 20 laps and then just stayed up in the top 5 all race long. Had a race winning car except I pushed it to hard on the last run of the race and just used up my tires way to soon. I’m back to running more races and working on my race craft as I can tell I am a little rusty after taking some time off and running a limited amount of races over the last few months.
• John -P21  Got caught up in the lap 1 wreck Tony Rochette was in. Lot of damage so I just limped around for the remaining 132 laps.
• Brad – P15 after starting p18. Car was very different from the A Open I ran and looking back at the weather it was a large swing. The wind was very challenging as well. Ran mostly mid-pack the majority of the race. Did have a long green run to start and went the wrong way on adjustments as it was all short runs after that.

Saturday Fixed- Texas

• Justin – P8, had to fight for this top 10, i didn’t qualify that was the problem you need clean air at this track tough to move through traffic and save your tires

Sunday Open- Texas

• Mike- P.9- really struggled this race with speed. I hit the wall too many times it was a bit slow but somehow someway got a top 10 I’ll freaking take it.
• David – P got disconnected as he was taking the lead
• Justin -P34, qualified like shit so i was in the back with the squirrels, they ended my day early. My fault need to qualify better
• Tony – P16 Another long run race where just hit that stupid ass front stretch wall for some right front wheel damage which killed the car on the long run. Texas sucks
• Brian C – P2
• John – P19. Stayed on the lead lap. But I just can’t keep speed at Texas. No matter how careful I am with the tires they just fall to pieces after 15 laps. Leaders seemed to keep up speed no matter how long we stayed green. I like this track but am baffled by it. 
• Kyle P-15 started P20 and just couldn’t get the car to rotate like it was Wednesday and Friday. Also tried to play the tire saving game and I tried too hard and just gave up valuable track position and time.

Sunday Fixed-Texas

• Mike- P15- I probably got a little bit better than I deserved. I sucked out there and made a lot of mistakes.
• Justin -P4 qualified 3rd. Stayed top 5 just about the entire race, came down to a couple late race restarts couldn’t close it, I’m finding out restart are a flaw in my craft. Something to work on.

Wednesday Open – Talladega

• Mike- P wrecked out on lap three by some bonehead who took it for wide. The replay shows I’m right in the middle lane. I didn’t fluctuate it all. He just was shoving it in there between the middle and the bottom and he eventually ran over me and turned me.
• David – P 3  Pushed the winner to the lead, but got to hot on last lap and it broke up our tandem.   He blocked the outside run real hard and I survived the calamity to come home 3rd with no cars around me.   Really needed this as Its only shot I get this week….I have a performance gig out of town.
• John – P10. Fairly uneventful race. Only one caution. Did have a first on this one. In a four car line with 5 to go. I was third in line. The guy second in line had been pushing the guy first in line for several laps. Apparently, the second guy overheated. He blew up right in front of me, i rear ended him, and got a 4X. Kept going though. 
• Brad – P4. Had a very long green flag start and over time the packs broke up. Was getting ready to pit under green when we had the second yellow. That started the wrecking that lasted until the end. Was able to work way to the front but was shuffled out a few times. I don’t think I am aggressive enough at these tracks. Was collected in a late race yellow that caused some damage but not enough to slow the car. Two GWC and restarting on the bottom I just tucked up behind the car ahead and avoided the spinners. A p4 here is good for me. Finally back above 3k in iRating.
• Tony there i was minding my own business 20 laps in when all a sudden out of nowhere 2 cars on the outside doing the Alabama’n Slammin to where my bubble was penetrated. Felt used and abused after that one. 
• Kyle P15 started P3 and just kept it clean for about 25 laps. Got sandwiched  between the wall and another car and got wheel damaged and the car wasn’t the same. Fought to stay in the top 10 the last 20 laps but got freight trained out of turn 4 on the last lap and fell to a P15.

Thursday Open-Talladega 

• Mike- P11 got to the front early and we had a 39 green flag run until the first caution restarted P2 after that. Continued running top 10 after that green flag stops again pitted from seventh came out second and then immediately a caution with 13 to go. Second ago. I get to leave with another caution to go. Made some bad moves on the restart and it did the 11.
• Justin – P30 ran up front ¾ of the race in a really stout field. Around 10 laps to go i ran out of talent and gave a guy a bad bump ruined my race. Upfront to 30th. I need to work on pit road entry under green flag stops. I always lose my pack.

Official Series

Imsa – Ellis

• Road Atlanta 89% chance of rain in the Cadillac.

A Open

• Bobby – One finale gwc, whole field wrecks, I drive from 20ish to 4th, I have to stop and let cars completely trashed catch up and get their spots back, dropped from 4th to 12th
• Brad W – P8.(Talladega) Mostly a race of trying to keep the car clean and not get caught up in the big one. Just not my favorite style of racing.
• Mike. Wrecked out. Made a good move up to middle all three wide.  I also learned that you at the back of the pack you’re gonna lose the draft.  Tuesday night I tried it again P 18. I was just making bad moves. I kept getting hung out to dry. I got in a couple different wrecks with a little bit of damage. Just not feeling it this week at all.
• Kyle Started P1 and led about 20 laps and then got wrecked and had to repair the damage and fall a lap down. Lucky dog came about 40 laps later and I was able to march up to P18. Had a top 5 car before the wreck ruined it for me. Think it’s time to go back to open wheel cars. And prepare for the Indy 500. We’re drinking the proverbial milk this year.

B Open

• John – (Tally) P10. Started in P6. We ran the first 39 laps under green. Inside line decided to pit on that lap and the outside line where I was decided to pit on lap 40. Coming off turn 4 on lap 39 everything looked good until the guy  in P2 decided to pit FROM THE OUTSIDE LANE!! He smacked P1 on the right side and a big one ensued. I had 2:45 optional that took the next two cautions to fix. I started P20 on our GWC. Going into tri-oval on last lap the cars in front got into the big one. I dodged the mangled cars, pick up 10 spots and got a P10. Those first 39 laps were about as good as you can have at Tally. Most people were patient and didn’t take chances. There were a few 3 wide fools, but very orderly under until Mr. Oblivious tried to pit from the outside lane. 
• Brad – P17 in top split (Texas). Car was better than where I finished. Had two long runs with green flag stops. Car was super loose on the long run. Had to use the high line on both ends to avoid wrecking. Was running in the top 10 with about 15 to go and had a car come across my nose through the tri-oval after racing hard for a few laps. This spun me through the infield and wound up finishing p17. He apologized after and it was just hard racing.

League / Hosted Races

Hosted- 

• Ellis-Chris McGuire hosted supercars at Michigan winner winner chicken dinner! I’ll take the win! Be moved to the middle lane on the white and ran up the middle to get the lead and was able to win it
• Ellis-Then starting at the back 87 at Talladega worked my way to the front in position for the win but I’m just short about 10 feet at the line. I finished P3, a nice podium.
