Results

NASCAR iRacing Series

Friday Open – NiS – COTA

  • Chris – P 16. I finished… that’s an accomplishment

Wednesday Open -NiS – Phoenix

  • Mike- P9- lots and lots of cautions I kept it clean but a little past halfway I got wrecked out a couple different times with a little over six minute damage was able to keep it on track and somehow bring it home to finish P9
  • David – P5 stayed safe
  • Justin – P wrecked out
  • Chris – P 16. The bright red Waldron’s Furniture team fought hard through an action-packed race today. Starting with a challenging 16x 50 laps in, we found ourselves playing catch-up right from the start. But our team’s perseverance showed through. Despite multiple repairs and constant adversity, we stayed sharp and safe as the race wound down. In the end, we brought the iRacers Lounge, Primer Setups, Sim Wraps Chevy Camaro home in 16th place, managing to finish just outside the top 15. Considering the circumstances, it was a solid effort, we’re proud of how we pushed through.
  • Brad- P 27 – Self-inflicted. Started p2 and dropped back to avoid some very aggressive driving at the start. Made it to about half way and on restart cut the dog leg only for the car to bottom out and spin. Was completely caught off guard as it had never happened in practice or the race the previous day. Worst part was I took out teammate Justin Pearson. Had almost 7 minutes of damage to get fixed. At that point came out to ride it out for SR. Was going to finish p25 but was collected by two spinners on a late restart through the dog leg. I run really well here but can’t ever finish a race.
  • Bobby – Decent, trying to click off laps, tons of yellows. Got shoved into wall by driver cutting dogleg and    shoving up into me, lots of damaged, ended up extremely tight, hitting wall again, killing car.

Thursday Open- NiS – Phoenix

  • David – P21  its not a NiS week if I don’t have somebody spin in front of me.   Had to fix the damage even though it wasn’t drivable.  After words we finished with a long run. I ran all the way to behind 4th place, but 8 laps down.
  • Bobby – Well, for the 25 feet we made it passed the line on the green car was very solid and quick. Driver who started on the high side, laid back, got a jump and right passed the line turn down trying to cut dogleg and hooked us dead into the wall. Car was done at that point. I get there is no track limits there, but a solid object like a CAR, should be avoided at all cost.

Official Series

M2

  • Ellis – P11 Summit point. Wasn’t fast finished ninth out of 11.

A Open

  • Brad W – P23 Started p7 and was in top 10 for the first half of the race. As usual, I get caught up in other people’s mess. Two spun in front of me getting into T1. Could not avoid and ended up with “Too much damage to fix” While the two that caused the wreck go on to finish p9 and p12. SMH

IMSA

  • William W- P17 – Spa – Embarrassing. Got dumped lap one before even the start finish line. Guy took it 4 wide then wrote me a book how it was my fault. Then coming up through the field I murdered a GTP. Just a mistake I haven’t made in ages. Was paying attention to the car to my right and missed my breaking point. 8 min repairs, just called it a day.

League / Hosted Races

Majors Endurance Championship

  • Greg, Tom and David –  P13  Ended up with early trouble from a GT3 who shot up high in parabolica blocking our outside pass.  Hung in there and worked back up through some attrition, to have a decent finish.  They learned a lot on the live caution officiating side and that aspect was way smoother.
  • Brad and Justin – P11 (GT3 Monza) Started on pole but lost it coming out of Lesmo 2 on cold tires. Started fighting back through the field only to get caught up in an accident going through Ascari. Had a meatball and forgot that we had a fast repair, so sat and had it fixed. It was a fight for all 4 hours but kudos to Justin for doing  the middle stents and got us up to 14th from 18th. Played some pit strategy to gain a few spots as we finished the race.

Grass Roots Racing GTP/GT3 League

  • William W –  P4. Week 10 at Montreal. Thought this track would be bad for multiclass but it was actually great. Probably could have had 3 but was over driving the car in a couple corners. Straightened that out but it was too late, still solid result.
